How to Praise ?

Step 1 Purchase Joss Paper & Incense

Piously state your name, time and date of your birth, address, and what you would like to praise (the clearer your mate preferences are the better).
Step 2 Purchase tributes to Yue Lao

If this is your first visit, remember to get a pack of tribute with Ice sugar, Longan, red thread and coin (around 300NTD) from the temple. After your praying, leave the sugar and coin to the temple.
Step 3 Lit the Incense

Lit the 3 incense you purchased together with the lighter in front of the temple door.
Step 4 Introduce Yourself

Face the oppisite side of the temple and pray to the Jade Emperor. Introduce yourself and pray for safety and luck.
Step 5 Pray to the City God, Yue Lao and other deities"

After you've pray to the Jade Emperor, go to the counter and ask for tributes to Yue Lao. Then pray to the City God, Yue Lao and other gods. Start by introduce yourself and pray for your safety and your wishes to come true. Remember to clearly state your wiches and your mate's criteria. If you successfully have a relationship afterwards, remember to bring bride cake as of appreciation.
Step 6 Pray to the Brave Guards, wife of the City God and other deities"

After you've pray to the City God, move to your right to the Brave Guards. Pray for not meeting weasels and everything to go well. Pray to the wife of City God for a well family and couples harmony. Go to your right, pray to the other deities for intelligence and a peaceful mind.
Step 7 Insert the three Incense into the Censer

After you've pray to all the deities, insert your three incense into the censer. You may leave the tributes you bought (longan and bride candy) to the temple. The temple make blessed tea with the longan for all visiters.
Step 8 Clockwise your coin and red thread above the censer

Clockwise your coin and red thread above the censer three times. Then, properly keep it in your purse.
Step 9 Insert the joss paper into the joss paper box

Insert the joss paper into the joss paper box, the temple will burn it for you.
Step 10 Have some bride candies and blessed tea

You can have some bride cakes, candies and blessed tea to bring you luck. After the above steps, the whole praying process is done.
